V&A Photography

V&A

Our new project is working on an advertising campaign for the V&A museum. On the 15th January we when to visit the V&A museum to gain more knowledge and understanding of the brief and the client. We were given a “behind the scenes tour” of the museum and a question and answer session with Clara who is the head of the marketing research department at the V&A. After this we were allowed to have a look around the museum to gain further knowledge. Once we were satisfied with the primary information we had gained by looking around the exhibitions we were then taken to the museums archive to view a selection of old advertising posters created specifically for the V&A and also designs created by Jamie Reed, John McConnell and Rodger Dean. Through out the day I took notes, done observational drawings and took photographs so that when I got back I could show evidence and created detailed information sheets for my project.

Twinings Tea Packging Design

This here is my final packaging design for Twinings. I have used Adobe illustrator to create this design as i am paying detailed attention to the typefaces that i chose. I have added an illustration of tea leaves behind the “green tea” typeface to visualy comunicate what the product actually is and to make the packagng visually exciting to the viewer. For the body text i have used a typeface called “Handwriting-dakota” this is because the product is an organic, natural tea and i feel that the typeface repersents this factor. I like this design as it is basic but original and i feel that it fits the product well.
Web Editing Format definitions

Flash was originally developed by Macromedia, which merged with Adobe in 2005.
SWF:
Animation created with Adobe Flash; may contain text as well as both vector and raster graphics; also may include interactive actions written in ActionScript; plays in Web browsers that have the Flash plug-in installed.SWF stands for "Small Web Format" and is pronounced "Swiff."
HTML:
Web page coded in HTML that can be displayed in a Web browser; formats text, tables, images, and other content that is displayed on the page; most pages within static website have an ".html" extension.
The HTML source code is parsed by the Web browser and is typically not seen by the user; if you want to view the HTML of a Web page, select "View Source" from the Web browser's View menu; since HTML files are saved in a standard text format, they can be opened and edited with a basic text editor. It stands for Hyper Text Mark-up Language.CSS:
Stands for "Cascading Style Sheet." Cascading style sheets are used to format the layout of web pages. They can be used to define text styles, table sizes, and other aspects of Web pages that previously could only be defined in a page's HTML.Image Editing Definitions

JPEG:
Compressed graphic format standardized by the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG); supports up to 24-bit color, which makes JPEG a good format for storing digital photos; compressed using lossy compression, which may noticeably reduce the image quality if high amounts of compression are used.
JPEG images are commonly used for Web graphics and for storing photos taken with digital cameras. They are usually saved with a .JPG extension.
